The 170-room Sheraton Melbourne is the first new 5-star hotel to be developed in the central city for more than a decade. Complementing the hotel are 142 residential apartments and a further 44 luxury residences and penthouses, as well as three basement levels of car parking.
A striking 32-storey wavelinear, the Sheraton is an expression of understated elegance, from the discreet Little Collins Street entry, to every detail of the guest rooms. The hotel offers 14 levels of thoughtful luxury reminiscent of the boutique hotels of Paris. It expresses the strong Sheraton brand whilst creating the ambience of a boutique hotel in the European tradition.
Design features include a grand staircase and custom-designed chandelier as an introduction to the 5-star quality of the hotel, linking all guest services and public spaces. Reception, the lobby, lounge and restaurant are spacious, however they imbue a sense of intimacy. The Reception desk is situated close to the point of arrival offering a warm and immediate welcome. The Lobby features soft leather chairs grouped as mini lounges, and there is a guest lounge beyond where guests can order from the light-filled French-inspired restaurant and adjacent bar.
Guest rooms commence on Level 3 and are an expression of plush, contemporary comfort – both a haven and an indulgence. Marble bathrooms are finely detailed and are separated from the main room by large windows fitted with electronically retractable blinds for privacy. Many rooms enjoy views of the city, the nearby Treasury Gardens and the MCG.
